MY BEST FRIEND

My name is Jack and my best friend is Nelson. We’re students at West London School. Nelson is really good at athletics. He’s very fit, and he’s the fastest runner in the school. A year ago he competed in the London Student Games. He won a silver medal!

Nelson wasn’t born in the UK. He came here from Brazil with his family when he was very young. At first, he didn’t speak English. But he learned quickly, and his English is perfect now.

When I leave school I’m going to study science at university. But Nelson wants to be an athlete, or maybe a footballer. He’s going to go to a special sports college next year. He’ll be famous one day!
